Vince Guyette
I'm sorry to share with you Vince Guyette passed away on April 16, 2008 due to health complications. He loved his Family and his friends at Socastee High School and loved working at the Myrtle Beach Grand Prix. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and loved the ocean. In his spare time he went fishing. In his closing years he enjoyed going to church.  This information was shared with me by Chris Sayles. I'll post more info as I get it.

Many of you will remember her as a cook at Socastee High. She started the same year we entered SHS & was still working there when she passed in 2004 at the age of 58.

David Nicholas (Nick) Boccabello (Age 39)

Nick Boccabello entered eternal life on Thursday July 12th 2007 after a year-long battle with Leukemia (AML).  He served with distinction in the first Gulf War (Operation Desert Storm) as a Reconnaissance Marine (2nd Mar. Div., 2nd Recon Bn.). His decorations included the Combat Action Ribbon, Kuwait Liberation Medal, the Navy Unit Commendation, and the National Defense Service Medal.  He also served as a Marine Religious Lay Reader.  He was honorably discharged as a Sergeant (E-5) in 1992.  He earned a Bachelors’ in Engineering Management and served the Semiconductor Industry and the Triangle Universities Nuclear Laboratory at Duke University building next-generation technologies.  He was most proud of his three daughters and considered them his most important work.  He rejoiced in the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and carried it wherever he went.  He finished his last battle like all the rest - with honor, astonishing bravery, an enduring sense of humor, deep love for his family and friends, and an unshakeable faith in his God.  He was surrounded by family - including his three daughters - when he fell asleep in the Lord.  He is survived by daughters Jessica Marie Boccabello, Ryan Kay Boccabello and Elizabeth Kaye Boccabello; wife Nicole; parents David Charles Boccabello and Audrey Kay (Hurst) Boccabello; brother Jeremy Scott Boccabello; sister-in-law Patricia Aitken Boccabello; nephew William Charles Boccabello; niece Nancy Grace Boccabello; cousin Timothy Randall Richards; a large loving family; close friends, including Jodi Yoho and Jason McCann; and his brother Marines.  A funeral service was held at 9:30 AM Friday, July 20 at Church of our Savior Oatlands, Route 15 eight miles south of Leesburg, VA followed by a committal service with full military honors at 12 noon at Quantico National Cemetery.

Arlene Joan Harrigan-Fox 
 

39, of Crawfordville, a registered nurse, passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2007. Arlene's life will be celebrated with a Funeral Mass at 4 p.m. EDT Sunday, September 23, at her parish, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Crawfordville. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her memory to the Ladies Guild of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 3609 Coastal Highway, Crawfordville, FL 32327. Harvey-Young Funeral Home in Crawfordville is handling arrangements. Arlene, born in Islip, New York, on December 5, 1967, was a loving wife and mother who cherished her family and friends. Professionally, she was dedicated to her work at the Florida Department of Corrections Health Services Office. A dynamic and fun-loving person, Arlene was always ready for a laugh. Arlene was a faithful member of the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church and a member of the parish's Ladies Guild. She is survived by her husband, Terry Fox, and her young son, Aidan Fox. She is also survived by her brother, Sean Patrick Harrigan of Jacksonville, Fla.
